Ruach 5763

Salaam
Text & Music: Moshe Ben-Ari of the group Sheva, Arr. Rick Recht

Ki Va Moed
Text: psalm 102:14
Music: Shlomo Carlebach, Arr. Rick Recht

[Rick Recht writes:] We first heard Salaam on our first summer tour at one of the camps. Their songleader, who was from Israel, introduced it to us and from there we made it our own by making it into a medley with Shlomo Carlebach’s (z”l) Ki Va Moed . It’s one of my favorite tunes to play because people not only sing, dance and jump but they are also reminded to celebrate and have faith in the possibility for peace.

Ki va mo-eid! …
Ya lai lai lai lai …

Od yavo shalom aleinu v’al kulam.

Salaam aleinu v’al kol ha‘olam, salaam salaam.
