[Dan Nichols writes:] Rabbi Michael Moskowitz and I found inspiration in the Torah portion where the Jewish people are just about to receive the Torah, and Moses says, “You stand here this day, all of you, before God.” Michael and I felt a strong sense of connection to this concept; thousands of years ago the Jewish people were given the Torah, and here we are, still standing as a holy community today, a Kehilah Kedoshah, remembering this incredible moment.
