Text: Liturgy – Birkat Shalom

[Steve Dropkin writes:]

Good things happen to those who wait.

I wrote the music for the “B” section of the song probably 2 years before the song was finished. The “A” section just didn’t happen. Then, while I was working on another song, Shalom Rav, the “A” part came together and the tune seemingly wrote itself. The words of Oseh Shalom are VERY powerful, and emotional. After all, we’re asking God to bless us and all of Israel. I tried very hard to have the music reach the same power and emotion. Kein y’hi ratzon … May it be God’s will.
