RUACH - new Jewish tunes -

HODU L'ADONAI
Steve Dropkin
Ruach 5761

Text: Steve Dropkin, Based on Psalm 118:1-4

This is a “rockin’” version of Hallel. I was listening to Queen on my way to work one day, and was moved by the groove of their songs. Ideas come from other ideas, and this was certainly so on this tune. The bridge section became the “hope” after praising God through the text. I hope it comes true one day …

CHORUS
Hodu ladonai, ladonai ki tov.
Ki l'olam, l'olam chasdo.

VERSE
Oh we give thanks to You
For Your love is never-ending.
Ki l'olam chasdo.
And we give thanks to You
For the world is now depending on
Ki l'olam chasdo.

CHORUS

VERSE

BRIDGE
With all of our hearts we will pray
For peace everlasting each day.
When we who are Israel will know
Ki l'olam, l'olam chasdo.
