SHEVA

A World music ensemble creating and performing original music. Sheva incorporates instruments from around the world and motives from the roots of Hebrew and Arabic cultures as well as tribal cultures.

Sheva was born in 1996 in a unique community situated in the Galilee Mountains, in northern Israel.

Shevas band members are coming from Muslim and Jewish backgrounds and the main theme in their songs is the call for peace in the Middle East and around the world.

The combination of Biblical texts and innovated prayers for peace and kinship become an experience that joins together the four corners of the earth into one round planet.

Shortly after their inception, Sheva became a phenomenon in the world music market in Israel, attracting thousands of people to their spectacular performances, creating a musical journey through meditation, prayer and celebration.

Since the summer of 2002, Sheva have been toured and performed around the world in: Australia (Woodford festival, Byron bay, Sidney and Melbourne), Europe (Sfinks festival in Belgium, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Spain), All to a raving reviews from audiences, press and national TV alike. Sheva will tour again this year in Canada the USA & Europe.
